Last museum/gallery you visited:
Mass MoCA in North Adams Massachusetts
A reading on art you recommend:
“The Burnout Society” by Byung Chul Han
Place you wish to see your work exhibited one day:
Turbine Hall at the Tate Modern or even the New Gallery in Berlin, are both dream sites.
Exhibition you enjoyed and why:
Glenn Kaino’s work at Mass MoCA. The sheer scale, immersiveness and multi sensorial experience of sound, visuals, shadow motion, installation, lighting design and moving through a dark space slowly really gripped my imagination. Also, ERRE, his powerful object based, critical of North American politics artworks really felt like a win for all marginal causes, spoken from the artworld an into larger society.
Reference artist or artists:
Pablo Helguera and Felix González Torres
An artwork you love:
Waterlilies by Claude Monet; anything at El Palacio de los Cristales in Madrid’s El Retiro; the PONCE letters by Carlos Villafañe in Puerto Rico.
